E. Winslow Funaki is an object maker and educator working in sculpture, video, furniture, and design objects. Intentionally resisting easy comprehension and classification, her work uses the framework of function to explore and reflect her identity as a neurodivergent, mixed-race person of Asian diaspora. She holds a BFA in Painting and an MFA in Furniture Design from Rhode Island School of Design and was a participant at Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture in 2016. Her work has been exhibited in venues including the RISD Museum, Brown University, Montserrat College of Art, and the John Michael Kohler Arts Center. Funaki currently lives and works in Boston, MA.
