E. Winslow Funaki (she/they) is an artist working in sculpture, video, and object design. Her work explores the gap between the image of self that we project out to the world and the image that others perceive. As a neurodivergent, mixed-race person of Asian diaspora, she is intimately familiar with this liminal space. Funaki holds a BFA in Painting and an MFA in Furniture Design from RISD and attended Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture. Her work has been exhibited in venues including the RISD Museum, Gallery 263, and John Michael Kohler Arts Center.
